Fellow Treasure Hunters... listen up!

The 40th annual Gypsy Caravan, benefiting the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, is on Monday and is one of my FAVORITE local events!  Since 1973, the St. Louis Symphony Volunteer Association has presented one of the largest antique, craft and flea markets in the Midwest, raising over $3.4 million in support of the STL Symphony.

I can assure you that this event is the BEST if you love antiquing and treasure hunting like ME!

Vendors come from 20 states,  as far away as Texas, Florida, and Louisiana.  They will be selling something for everyone: antiques, collectibles, crafts, jewelry, furniture, clothing, imports, yard art and more. Delicious food and beverages are also a part of this holiday tradition. Vendor list HERE.

NOTE: The $5 entry fee ($20 for early-bird shoppers, 7–9am) goes to support the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and its education and community programs.

The Circus Flora AND the St. Louis Symphony together? Brilliant!

The Floating Palace is a one weekend event and the first-ever collaboration is a unique combination of the two St. Louis goodies.

Per the St Louis Symphony site: Powell Hall becomes the big top and welcomes acrobats, jugglers, aerial artists and even high-wire walkers. The Floating Palace, inspired by the Floating Palace that toured the Mississippi River in the 1850’s is complete with pirate attacks, spies, mistaken identity and forbidden romance. It’s an adventure not to be missed!

This family-friendly adventure would be an excellent way to introduce your little ones to the symphony and expose them to some of St. Louis's most extraordinary talent.

Nothing says Halloween spooky good times like Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho"?! Norman Bates, his mother, and Bernard Herrmann’s spine-tingling score come alive THIS Halloween weekend accompanied live by the St. Louis Symphony.
