CLOSED: #6310 Oakland Avenue in Dogtown

One of the most fun and interesting aspects of my job is connecting with clients in a variety of places.   I initially connected with this Buyer's daughter on Twitter and the rest is history. Social Media is incredibly powerful and it is always fun to meet the face behind the handle.   =)

Exciting changes are happening for this family and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to help them in their next big step!  Their new adorable Dogtown bungalow,  just steps from Forest Park, Turtle Park, and the Zoo,  is a wonderful fit!

Huge congratulations and THANK YOU to the B Family!

Are you on Facebook?

... so am I!

As the media is faster, more interactive, and connected to my Twitter... I post there more often. A little personal, a little design, a little real estate, a little St. Louis, a little "just for fun".

Let's connect HERE .  Pop me a "like" to continue the conversation! =)

Hidden Gem: Winslow's Home in University City

If you are from St. Louis and have never heard of Winslow's Home at some point, I would be highly surprised.  Hence, I am not sure how "hidden" this gem is.   A gem it is INDEED, however, making it a "must share" in the Hidden Gem category on my blog.

If by chance you haven't been there... it is a must go.  Like today. Yesterday.

Located just west of the Loop at 7213 Delmar Blvd in University City sits...

The atmosphere is warm and quaint, reminiscent of a small town general store/eatery adorned with interesting repurposed antique architectural goodies and remnants...

There are numerous unique gift and home items for sale...

Total visual eye candy... Winslow's is perfect for a girl like me, who loves old things!  That being said, the real focus here is the food.  Period.

A fully staffed kitchen prepares made-to-order meals, often using fresh produce grown at the owner's personal farm in Augusta.  There is love and care put into every morsel at Winslow's- you can taste it.

Not only locals have recognized Winslow's wonderful cuisine and unique styling.  There have been articles in notable publications about the hidden gem in the New York Times, Midwest Living, Esquire Magazine, and Yahoo Travel.

The atmosphere paired with the delicious food is the perfect concoction to transport you back into time when life was a tad slower...

More simple...

They also have their delicious goodies to-go if on the run...
Pies and quiche and salads, oh MY!

Or if you have the time, pull up a stool and stay awhile...
Nitty Gritty...
