A culinary adventure for a great cause!The 34th Annual National Kidney Foundation's Chili Fest is this Saturday, 9/26, at Westport Plaza between 11:00AM and 6:00pm. The Smash Band, The Fury, and Johnny Rock-Itt will play as you sample up to 50 chilis prepared by amateur and professional chefs, competing for the Missouri State Champion Title. There will also be a huge sampling of salsa and craft, import, and domestic beers this year.
This event is a total blast! We have attended the Chilifest several times. It's also a great family event. Though the boys don't care much for the chili itself, they love the music, people watching, and kid's corner! So, so fun and an amazing cause.
Nitty Gritty:
- Admission is $5.00.
- Children under 12 are admitted free.
- Chili and salsa samples are just 50 cents.
- All proceeds benefit National Kidney Foundation serving Eastern Missouri & Metro East.
