Just for fun: Bathroom Time Capsule
In prepping of the list of my own mother's house, the contractor took off 2 layers of wallpaper in the basement bathroom to reveal THIS...
SERIOUSLY?? =O
"Vintage" is an understatement! Good grief.

Hidden Gem Alert: Donut Drive-In in South City
What a week, what a week. I showed 30+ condos/lofts between the Central Corridor and the Downtown Loft District, showed a dozen properties in West County, negotiated a counteroffer, and closed a property. The Spring Market is definitely in full-effect! While the real estate market may be a tad more fragile right now, it IS moving. The early Spring has been encouraging.
Anyhoo, my most recent closing was in South City near St. Louis Hills. After our final walk-through early Saturday morning, I stopped by one of South City's most notorious hot spots to surprise my slumbering family...

Located on the old Route 66 and having served fresh donuts for over 50 years, the Donut Drive-in is one of the last standing Mom and Pop donut shops in the city. Every so often when I have early AM work in South City, I randomly pick up these goodies for my family...
...as they LOVE them! If in or near South City and craving a donut done the old-fashioned way, by HAND, the Donut Drive-in is a must stop.

Just for Fun: November Craft for kids
My 8 yr old welcomed November...
... with the perfect Fall craft!
If you want to make one of these cuties with your kids, all you need is a large paper grocery bag, a paper lunch sack, newspaper for stuffing, a rubber band to create the shape of the head, some construction paper, staples and hot glue to hold it all together, and a little creativity...

Our turkey has found a new home on our front porch hay bales, left over from Halloween. If need a little more instruction, click HERE. =)

Knee high in Fall, which means LEAVES.
I apologize that it has been a few days since my last post! Between a closing this week and expedited house hunting with one of my Buyers on a tightened time frame due to her lease expiring in December... busy, busy, busy!
Exploring the area neighborhoods this week has been particularly scenic and fun, as reminders of my favorite Fall season are around every corner (please excuse the shoddy quality of my mobile uploads taken over the past week)...

Unfortunately, one thing I have also noticed a lot of this week...

Ahhh, 'tis the season. Let this serve as a reminder for you to hop up on the roof this weekend and clear your gutters. It is that time again, St. Louis... =)

Signs of Fall...
Last year, around this time, I admitted my love for this beloved season to Blog World.
I have to say, I am starting to feel the fever again. The leaves are slowly starting to fall from our trees, our windows have been open more than closed, we have made our first seasonal pilgrimage to Eckert's to pick apples, the boys are starting to debate costume ideas, and my allergies are driving me insane! Ha!
Anyways, besides my autumnal makeover of the ol' blog and Twitter, there are several other signs of Fall around Casa de Nenonen ...

Love it, love it, love it!

My 8 yr old finished up the summer pool season with a new trick...
Personally, we barbecued with family, checked out a couple of city happenings, enjoyed a night out on the town with friends, and completed 2 home projects. Professionally, I showed 11 houses between 3 clients, wrote a contract, and had a pre-listing/staging appointment for post the New Year.
Hope that your Labor Day weekend was as fun and eventful as ours. Now, bring on FALL... Woot! Woot! =)
