This is no doubt THE BEST cafe in town. Best coffee, food and croissants and everyone there is genuine, always a pleasure. I drive from the CWE several times a week. A real gem for St Louis! I travel to NY and I've yet to find a place better!

THE BEST CAFE. PERIOD. If you want the near death experience of dying and going to heaven then by all means try the Bread Pudding.
Nothing like it this side of earth and you will wonder if it was prepared by angels. The owner in her own right is a local celebrity on a National level with the whole Renovation Realities (DIY NETWORK) of turning this cafe into the local treasure that it is. Want to go to Paris for an afternoon? Save the airfare and get the ambiance AND taste (minus the attitude) at Rue Lafayette...-Jules

I hope St Louisans see how lucky the are, I moved here from LA and this place is even cool for CA standards! I am so glad they are here. Delicious food, terrific atmosphere, owners and staff are wonderful, yes, a real Gem! This is not a place where people "just" space out in front of a laptop for hours without socializing. Here people meet, laugh, enjoy life. Very Euro!!!
