I have spent a significant amount of time in
Historic Downtown St. Charles recently, as I currently have 3 active Buyers perusing the area. Since obtaining my real estate license in 2001, the Midtown residential neighborhood, just west of historic Main Street, is one of my favorite neighborhoods to show properties. It is a beautiful time capsule of sorts.
Many of the 19th century beauties maintain an incredible amount of original architectural integrity. My hope is that the neighborhood of Midtown will (
hopefully) eventually land itself on the National Register of Historic Places to ensure no further modernization of the structures.
