The 2016 Pantone Colors of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity

For the 1st time ever, the global color authority Pantone anointed two colors of the year in 2016...

Closely watched by the design industry, the annual announcement is usually a tip-off to the trends that will be seen in home décor, fashion, and design that year.  Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone’s Color Institute, stated “We wanted compassion, which today a lot of people are looking for inducing feelings of stability, constancy, comfort and relaxation to create balance in a chaotic world.”

In addition to endless fashion options, Pantone suggests using these colors in home accessories such as candles, decorative bowls, vases, and florals, adding that they’re “an ideal choice for rugs and upholstery where you can combine solid and patterned fabrics, throws, and bedding in these shades".

I took to Pinterest above to show a few practical applications of the dynamic duo.  Love it or leave it?
