This is a GREAT tip for local families: one evening per month, the Magic House offers free admission to the nationally recognized Children's Museum thanks to a grant by Emerson Electric. Normal admission is $9.50 per person, so HUGE savings!

The Magic House holds Emerson Free Family Nights every third Friday of the month from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. These special nights enable a family (no more than two adults and four of their own children) to enjoy more than 100 hands-on exhibits in the museum at no charge through the generosity of Emerson. Reservations are not required.
